Gazette:
- Please continue to pray for Edith Whitehead who is ill in hospital.
- Sung Evensong; Once again there is a 5th Sunday in the month and the parishes of Brakpan, Germiston, Springs and Boksburg present the service of sung evensong. This month the service will take place on Sunday 29th Jan at 6 pm at St Boniface Church,Germiston. Choir practice will take place at St Boniface at 4 pm. All interested singers are welcome to join the choir for this service. The rite will be from the SAPB.
- The dates for Happening 2012 are
23-25 March 01-03 June 28-30 September Cost is R650.00 per-person
Application forms will be posted on the Cathedral website by next week. www.stdunstanscathedral.org.za. under Happening Ministries.
Courses for the Year:
- Lay Ministers Training has begun and the next class will be held on the 11th February 2012 at the Cathedral at 10h00. After this class there will be no more registrations for the year.
- The Basic Counselling Course begins on 11 February in the Siyalalela training room and runs until 31 March (8 Saturdays) from 8.30 till 14.30. (11, 18, 25 Feb, 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 March. The cost is R400.00, but candidates will bring own lunches and tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided. No cost to Clergy. Must be 12 people.
- The Marriage Preparation Training Course will be on 2 and 9 June and will cost R100.00 – only for people who have completed the Basic Counseling Course.
- The Siyalalela AGM will be on 18 February.
- Lenten Course (prepared by Johannesburg Diocese) see attached notice – contact person Caroline – cally@gam.co.za – Cost is R450-00.
