for
FRIDAY 19th DECEMBER 2008
• Clergy News:
Fr Jerry Dibetso’s sister died recently. May she rest in peace.
Please remember the family in your prayers.
Please pray for the safety of Fr Forbes Maupa as he travels in Zimbabwe to bring food, water and other assistance to his parents and as he encounters many obstacles along the way.
Please pray for Fr Koloti who is ill in hospital.
• Diocesan News:
The Diocesan Office bookshop has about 25 Almanacs for 2009 in stock at R5-00 each on a first come first served basis. Please contact Margaret.
• Tree and Plaque in memory of Bishop David:
Fr Atholl Selkirk has received the trees to be planted in memory of Bishop David. They are R100 each. Will all those parishes who requested the trees, please contact Fr Atholl to make arrangements to pay for and collect as soon as possible. Thanks.
• Clergy Retreat:
Please would you let me know, as soon as possible, if you are going to attend our Diocesan Clergy retreat, which will be held at La Verna Franciscan Retreat Centre, from 2nd to 6th February 2009. The price for the Retreat is R860-00 per person – cheques to be made out to “Diocese of the Highveld’. All money to be paid to the Diocese at least one week before the Retreat begins, this makes it easier for the person co-ordinating this Retreat. The Bishop of Horsham, Bishop Lindsay Urwin, will be conducting the retreat. I will need to give the final numbers to La Verna by the 23rd January so please let me have your name by then so that we only pay for those attending. Thanks to those who have already given their names. Margaret.
The Vicar General and Diocesan Office staff
wish you and all your loved ones
a very Blessed Christmas
and a happy 2009
